Over the Top Management's primary goal is to spread the experience of seasoned professionals in a manner useful to personnel in specific companies.

  • Almost all programs are intended to be customized to the individual client's industry and situation. Current programs and topics are outlined below.

Interactive Training:

Interactive training lectures focused in imparting skill and knowledge in ½ day sessions.  Key to lecture productivity is customization to focus on specific company issues so actual topics will vary by client.  General Topics include:

Company employees will discuss and develop actions plans for specific issues that they are currently working on to give real world dimension to lectures.  Specific sessions might include:

  •  Innovating with the Army You Have:  Using existing corporate resources in teams to uncover and execution innovation opportunities instead of hiring outside consultants
  • Using Problems to Generate Innovations:  Techniques to uncover problems, develop innovative solutions, and evaluate potential ROI.
  • How Innovators Innovate (or Where Innovations Come From): History of innovation from Edison to Ideo with specific review of innoavtions in the client's industry and company. Introduction to the concept of "Cliff Events" that result in innovation that change industries.
  • Innovations after the Fiscal Crisis -Discussion of innovations that will develop after current fiscal crisis/consumption recession. Can be customized by industry.

Consulting Services:

Consulting Services solve specific strategic and management problems while training personnel in the techniques used to resolve issues.  As opposed to lectures series which primarily teach employees skills, applicable to their job, OTTM will solve specific client issues during the course of training.  Consulting projects include:

  • Brand Rebuilding – How to identify existing brand equity and develop an integrated marketing program throughout the company to maximize sales
  • Product Development – Identifying customer based new and improved products that yield long term competitive advantages and growth opportunities

Book Series: Over the Top - Winning as a Middle Manager

A series of short books covering how middle managers can execute growth strategies such as Innovation, product development, turn arounds, etc. The first in the series is Over the Top: Winning as a Middle Manager with Bottom Up Innovation.
